Tell a Friend

About the Writer:
Sherrill Schlimpert

An ordinary suburban girl with an extraordinary passion for seeking the Lord’s will in her life, Sherrill is more than a poet. She is a retired elementary school teacher, mother of two grown children, and wife for over 31 years. One dreary morning's drive awakened her passion for writing prayer-poetry as God greeted her with a spectacular sunrise. Her flow of words and faith has filled two self-published books so far.

Praise for All Days

By Sherrill Schlimpert

Lord, thank you for the sun

With its warmth and light

Shining through the sky

Pushing back the night.

Don’t let me go a day

When its light in full view

Neglects to remind me

That all good comes from You.

And when there are dark days,

Where the clouds hide the sun,

Let me rejoice that

I can trust in You, the one,

Who holds the light and the night

Close within His hand,

Who sends forth every blessing

And can understand

Each tear that we shed,

Each trouble we bear,

Who will lead us through

In His tender care.

For your Father sent His son

To light our way

We must stop and praise Him

Every one of our days.
