She is a retired elementary school teacher, mother of two grown children, and wife for over 31 years. One dreary morning's drive awakened her passion for writing prayer-poetry as God greeted her with a spectacular sunrise. Her flow of words and faith has filled two self-published books so far.

A Morning Rainbow

A rainbow appears as I study Y our Word,
A validation of the truths I’ve heard.
A prism of light at the bottom of my page.
A reminder that You set earth’s stage.
A hidden manager behind the curtain,
Only Your actors know for certain
That this drama we play out on earth
Has a meaning of eternal worth.
Like my rainbow from the morning light
Fleeting, but clearly now in my sight,
He gives us His Word to hide in our heart,
To rely on here until we depart
To the heavens from where rainbows never go
Where we’ll bask eternally in the glow
Of all God’s glories – with no dark- all light!
And praise Him always with all our might.  

Until then I take this miniature prism of light
Knowing it will soon fade from my sight.
A cloud will come and it will go,
But in my heart I will know
That its Maker will stand by me all day long,
His promises true and ever strong.
